Launched in 2007, the current
Enabling Masterplan 2007-2011 has developed the basic framework to enable persons with disabilities to better integrate in society. The Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) is now embarking on Enabling Masterplan 2012-2016.
The vision is for an inclusive Singapore where every person with disability can maximise his potential and is embraced as an integral member of our society.
Enabling Masterplan 2012-2016 will adopt a life-course approach starting with the early pre-school years, then going on to the education and employment phase of life, and the adult and ageing years. The Centre for Enabled Living (CEL) is the secretariat for the Enabling Masterplan (2012-2016) - Adult Care and Caregiver Support Sub-Committee.
