Individuals facing difficulties in finding jobs because of their disabilities need not suffer alone. There are private and government schemes that help match such individuals with employers who understand their needs and value their contributions.
(i) For those seeking employment
Individuals with disabilities seeking employment can enjoy a wide range of support services available to them. These include vocational assessment and training, job preparation, job placement and on-site job support.
Those who has slight to moderate disabilities - but who possess the right skills - are encouraged to look for jobs in the open market. For those who need more help, job placement organizations, such as the ones below, may assist in job-matching services.

Launched in May 2007, the Open Door Fund is a government initiative set up by the Ministry of Community, Youth and Sports, supported by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency and administered by the Singapore National Employers Federation.
The objective of the Open Door Fund is to provide persons with disabilities equal opportunities to seek employment in the open market. It provides a comprehensive package of incentives to support companies in employing persons with disabilities.
