'LTA Cares' Fund
 
The "LTA Cares Fund" is a charity fund created to specifically cater to the transport needs of working adults and students in mainstream schools who are financially and physically disadvantaged.
With effect from 1 October 2011, The Centre for Enabled Living Ltd (CEL) has taken over the administration of this Fund from the National Council of Social Service (NCSS).
Who
  • Singaporeans or Permanent Residents from families with per cap household income of less than $1,400 per month
  • Medically/professionally certified to be totally dependent on taxis for transportation to work or school
  • Do not own any vehicle
  • Do not use any other form of transportation services provided by the National Council of Social Services (NCSS) or its member VWOs

Working adults must be in or have been accepted for employment in open market. Students must be attending or have been accepted for attendance in mainstream schools.

NOTE: Nett per capita household income is defined as the total household income after deducting CPF contribution divided by the number of family members in the household.

How
Applicants can apply to the fund by downloading the application form (which includes the medical report). All applications are to be submitted with the required supporting documents to the CEL via fax, email or post.The supporting documents are:  
1.     For working adults:
  • Employer's Verification Form (Form A) - employment verfied by employers
  • Medical Report - certified by qualified professional that applicant is totally dependent on taxis
  • Photocopy of payslip(s) of applicant and household members or Income Declaration Form (Form C)
 2.     For students:
  • Student Status Verification Form (Form B) - verified by school
  • Medical Report - certified by a qualified medical professional that he/she is totally dependent on taxis
  • Photocopy of payslip(s) of household members or Income Declaration Form (Form C)
