Befriending Services

A helping hand or a listening ear can make a difference to the elderly battling their own disabilities alone. Befriending services aim to promote the overall emotional and psychological well-being of the elderly living in the community. Trained volunteers visit and befriend these elderly persons, relieving them of their loneliness and boredom. They can also identify areas that can improve the elderly’s day-to-day environment and provide the necessary assistance.
