Special Student Care Centres

Special student care centres provide before and after school care services to children with special needs aged 7 to 18 years attending either mainstream or special education schools. These aim to provide a conducive learning and care environment for children with special needs. The centres allow caregivers to remain in employment while their children are cared for in a safe environment outside of schooling hours. Special student care centres also provide educational support as well as the learning of social and life skills for independent living.
