With the appropriate activities and services, adults with disabilities can be equipped with necessary skills to maximise their independence. Day Activity Centres (DACs) help to impart the necessary skills and know-how for adults with disabilities to enter workshop employment. DACs also provide respite to caregivers who work during the day.
The activities at DACs promote the development of cognitive, social, communication, language, and motor skills. The centres also provide physiotherapy and occupational therapy.
The Centre for Enabled Living provides referrals to DACs.
