Production workshops provide training for adults with moderate disabilities in basic job skills such as printing and manufacturing, improving their opportunities to gain employment in a production line and becoming an active member of society.
The Centre for Enabled Living provides referrals to production workshops.
Who
Individuals who are Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents aged 18 to 55, and diagnosed with any of the following disabilities:
- Developmental
- Intellectual
- Sensory
- Physical
- A combination of two or more of the above
The abovementioned disabilities should be congenital, although persons with acquired disabilities will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
How
Applications for placement in a production workshop should preferably be submitted by a professional (e.g. doctor, social worker, therapist, etc) to the Centre for Enabled Living (CEL). Besides the
referral form, the individual's medical report, social report and psychological report are also required as supporting documents.
