Neighbourhood Links
Neighbourhood Links (NLs) serve as an extended social support system for seniors living in the community. They provide a local network of support as well as to promote active volunteerism at the neighbourhood level. Some NLs are linked to an alarm system which can be activated during emergencies.
Senior Activity Centres
Senior Activity Centres (SACs) are located at the void decks of selected 1- and 2-room HDB rental blocks. Seniors living in these blocks are encouraged to spend the day at SACs which provide opportunities for interaction and exercise. SACs encourage seniors to remain integrated in society through community outreach programmes and social recreational activities. All SACs are linked to an alarm system which can be activated during emergencies.
